Acknowledge that you have sinned against God and that sin separates you from Him.

Romans 3:10 "...all have sinned"

Romans 6:23 "...the wages of sin is death" (to be separated from God)

Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to take the penalty of sin away.

Ephesians 1:7 "In whom (Christ) we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, ..."

Call upon God in prayer to ask for His forgiveness and accept His payment for your sins.

Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
