Helping couples and individuals navigate through the difficult waters of life

Definitions of Harbor –

  • a part of a body of water protected and deep enough to furnish anchorage
  • a place of security and comfort

The Harbor Counseling Ministry at Still Waters is designed to offer a safe place for people to find the encouragement and instruction needed to deal with significant challenges in their lives. This ministry is led by Pastor Tony and Mrs. Karen. The Lord graciously used an experience in their lives where others stepped in and helped to enable them to reach out and help others when life becomes difficult.

“Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able

to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”

2 Corinthians 1:4

The Plan

Although every situation is unique, normally people come to The Harbor for three to seven days; the most common stay being Saturday to Saturday. An initial phone conference will help determine if on-site counseling would be beneficial and what amount of time would be necessary. The schedule usually includes two counseling sessions each day, with assignments to work on between sessions, as well as time for rest and relaxation.

The Place

Those seeking counsel stay in Kitty Hawk in a fully furnished four room ground level apartment within walking distance of the ocean on the beautiful and historic Outer Banks of North Carolina. The kitchen is fully equipped, and towels and linens are provided. Local grocery stores and restaurants allow guests to continue their normal dietary routine.

The Policy

This ministry has a very strict policy of confidentiality. It is our practice to neither confirm nor deny anyone’s call or visit. Everyone can have total confidence that nothing will be shared with others.

The Price

The Harbor Ministry operates solely on love offerings. Visitors are encouraged to follow the Lord’s direction in this matter.
